Enchanting Dinner with Friends at 515

There’s something truly special about gathering around a beautifully set table, sharing laughter, and indulging in delicious food with friends.

Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with my friends at 515 Photo Co. to host an intimate winter dinner party at the Mikes' gorgeous space. From the decor to the menu, every detail came together to create a memorable evening filled with warmth and joy.

We set the tone for the evening with my Winter Wonderland Toile linens, adding an elegant yet whimsical touch to the table. To complement the linens, we carefully selected cream place settings, vintage-inspired flatware, and classic crystal-cut glasses—all thoughtfully rented from Splendid Settings.

The whimsical custom menus, designed by Serena Colella Designs brought the menu to life and completed the setting perfectly. We also chose a mix of burgundy and coloured candlesticks to add warmth and depth to the atmossphere.

To complete the look, fresh cedar, juniper, and helleborus flowers formed a lush centerpiece, filling the space with the scent and spirit of the season.

The Menu

Guests were welcomed with a refreshing Rosemary Gin Fizz, setting the tone for a

festive and elegant evening.

For the hors d'oeuvres, I wanted a variety of flavours to set the stage for the courses to come.

Guests enjoyed:

  • Pickled vegetables, bursting with tangy brightness.

  • Tartiflette, a rich and comforting classic.

  • Crostini topped with creamy lemon ricotta and roasted grapes,

offering the perfect blend of sweet & savoury.

Once seated, we started with a citrus winter salad

a refreshing mix that balanced the richness of the dishes that followed.

The main course was a showstopper—an indulgent beef Wellington its rich, tender beef encased in a perfectly golden, flaky puff pastry. It was the star of the table, served alongside roasted squash and carrots, which were drizzled with a sweet-and-tangy agrodolce sauce, adding a beautiful balance of flavours. To complement the dish, we also had leeks in a delicate vinaigrette, a light yet elegant side that offered a refreshing contrast to the richness of the Wellington.

To end the night on a high note, I served my signature chocolate soufflé cake with dollops of airy chantilly cream. It was the perfect finish—decadent yet light enough to leave everyone satisfied.

The evening felt like a true celebration of the season, a time to slow down, savour good food, and revel in the company of friends.

Here’s to many more nights like this—filled with creativity, connection, and delicious memories.

If you’re looking to host your own dinner party this season, I hope this inspires you to bring together the elements that make your gatherings uniquely yours.

Thank you to my friends at 515 Photo Co. for including me in your celebration and capturing these moments.
